Info from Dane County Executive’s Chief of Staff Josh Wescott:<\/p>\n
“Dane County Executive Joe Parisi and County Board Chair Sharon Corrigan announced this morning they are declaring a state of emergency after severe storms and apparent tornadoes damaged dozens of homes in the area overnight.\u00a0 There were nearly 350 reports of storm damage across Dane County.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to be sure those affected by last night\u2019s severe weather are eligible for every type of disaster recovery assistance available,\u201d Parisi said.<\/p>\n
Parisi is touring storm-damaged parts of Verona and Madison today with Dane County Emergency Management Director Charles Tubbs.<\/p>\n
