PLAYING ON THE WATER THIS WEEKEND?

From Dane Co:

“Officials with the Dane County Land and Water Resources Department are asking  boaters, anglers, swimmers, and all who enjoy the county’s lakes to be aware of their surroundings and use caution navigating Dane County waterways.

Severe storms that swept through the county on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week produced tornados, heavy rain, strong winds, and deposited large tree branches, building insulation, and other debris into area lakes.

Lake users are asked to use caution as debris clean up efforts continue. The county’s weed harvesters, responsible for aquatic plant removal on area lakes, have already removed nine loads of debris that blew into Lake Monona as a result of the storms.”
