WHAT’S UP WITH THE STOUGHTON RD RAMP TO WB BELTLINE? ANSWER:

There are no daytime lane closures on the Stoughton Rd on-ramp to the WB Beltline.  The ramp has always merged down to a single lane prior to joining the Beltline.   Our project temporarily relocated the merge point in June a few hundred yards further up.  This was done to provide better visibility of the merge point during construction and prevent drivers from thinking 2 lanes continued,  ending up side by side in an unsafe condition fighting for space.
What appears to be a closed lane is really just a minor change in where the ramp has always narrowed from two lane to one.
